Google Enhances AI Mode with New Features for Booking Tickets and Appointments

Google has unveiled enhanced features in its AI Mode, a tool designed to assist users in navigating complex queries and follow-ups directly within the Search platform. With the latest update, users can now conveniently secure tickets for events and schedule appointments in the beauty and wellness sector.

For instance, users can input requests such as, “find me 2 inexpensive tickets for the Shaboozey concert,” and AI Mode will scour various websites for real-time options tailored to those specifics. It provides a curated selection of ticket prices and links directly to the booking pages for easy purchase completion.

These advanced capabilities are currently accessible to participants in Google’s experimental Search Labs program in the U.S. Notably, subscribers to Google AI Pro and Ultra benefit from increased availability limits.

Google initially introduced agentic capabilities in AI Mode in August, enabling users to find restaurant reservations tailored to their preferences, such as party size, date, location, and cuisine type. For example, asking, “find me a dinner reservation for 3 people this Friday after 6pm around Logan Square for ramen or bibimbap,” prompts AI Mode to check various reservation platforms for real-time availability, presenting users with a curated list of options.

According to Google, their intention with this feature is to connect users to reliable, high-quality information. However, the company cautions that while the new mode is grounded in established quality and safety protocols, it remains in an experimental phase and may occasionally generate errors.

Since its inception in March, AI Mode has expanded its reach to over 180 countries, continually incorporating new functionalities. Recent updates include a Canvas feature for organizing study plans and the integration of Google Lens, allowing users to inquire about content displayed on their screens.
