Codi Unveils AI-Powered Office Manager with a16z Support

Codi Launches Groundbreaking AI-Powered Office Management Platform Backed by Andreessen Horowitz

Codi, a pioneering startup supported by venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz, has introduced an innovative AI-driven platform designed to streamline the management of office spaces. Founded by Christelle Rohaut and Dave Schuman, Codi’s new software aims to revolutionize traditional office management by automating essential tasks.

In a recent statement, CEO Christelle Rohaut reflected on the challenges her team previously faced in manually overseeing office logistics and vendor interactions. With advancements in artificial intelligence, Codi now offers automated solutions that significantly reduce manual oversight. “The previous model required our customers to engage with Codi for space management. Now, businesses can use our platform to automate logistics for any leased office,” Rohaut emphasized.

The official launch of Codi’s AI office management tool follows a beta release in May and comes after a successful $16 million Series A funding round in 2022. To date, Codi has amassed a total of $23 million in funding.

Changing Role of Office Managers

In the wake of the pandemic, the responsibilities of office managers have evolved, with many roles becoming unfilled or shifting focus from logistical tasks to event planning. Rohaut noted that Codi’s AI utilizes the expertise and data accumulated over recent years to manage vendor connections, pantry restocking, and cleaning schedules. Impressively, the platform generated $100,000 in Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) within just five weeks of its beta launch.

“This innovative platform is projected to save companies hundreds of hours each year in administrative tasks,” Rohaut stated. The service operates on a subscription model, offering a cost-effective alternative to traditional office management roles.

Codi has already attracted interest from notable companies such as TaskRabbit and Northbeam, signing 40 new clients during its beta phase. Rohaut indicated that many of their previous customers are shifting to the new AI platform.

Codi’s Market Positioning

In a competitive landscape featuring legacy management firms and workplace experience platforms like Envoy, Codi differentiates itself by eliminating the need for personnel to manage vendor relationships. The autonomous nature of the platform allows for seamless coordination of office operations, freeing human resources to concentrate on cultural and business growth.

“Codi envisions a future where offices operate autonomously, akin to self-driving cars,” Rohaut remarked. “Our goal is to alleviate the logistical burdens associated with managing physical spaces, empowering talent to focus on fostering workplace culture.”
