Anthropic Set to Raise $10B at Impressive $350B Valuation

Anthropic, the creator of the innovative AI model Claude, is set to raise $10 billion at an impressive valuation of $350 billion. This funding round follows a significant $13 billion Series F raise just three months ago, during which the company’s valuation was estimated at $183 billion, effectively doubling its worth in a short span.

The new financing will be spearheaded by Coatue Management and GIC, Singapore’s sovereign wealth fund, according to reports from The Wall Street Journal citing informed sources. Anthropic is expected to finalize this funding soon, though the total amount may fluctuate as negotiations progress.

This fresh capital injection is distinct from the recent $15 billion commitment from NVIDIA and Microsoft, which involves a “circular” agreement wherein Anthropic will procure $30 billion worth of computing power from Microsoft Azure, utilizing NVIDIA’s advanced chips.

As Anthropic garners attention in the developer community with its latest tool, Claude Code, designed to streamline coding processes via Claude Opus 4.5, the company is also gearing up for a potential initial public offering (IPO) later this year. This move could position Anthropic in direct competition with OpenAI, which is rumored to be exploring a funding round of up to $100 billion at a staggering valuation of approximately $830 billion.

Anthropic has chosen not to comment on the details of this funding round.
