Xreal Inc. has launched the Xreal 1S, a next-generation pair of augmented reality glasses designed for both work and play, alongside the innovative Neo power hub. This new device not only enhances the user experience but also sets a benchmark for AR technology.
The Xreal 1S, part of the evolving Xreal One Series, is a significant upgrade to its predecessor, the Xreal One, first introduced in December 2024. Priced at $449, the 1S is aimed at making high-quality AR more accessible for entry-level consumers while offering impressive features such as a full HD resolution increase from 1080p to 1200p, enhanced brightness of 700 nits, and a broadened field of view at 52 degrees.
Key features of the Xreal 1S include:
- Electrochromic Dimming: Automatically adjusts display settings for optimal visibility in varying lighting conditions.
- Sound by Bose Technology: Offers high-fidelity audio without the need for additional earbuds or headphones, ensuring an immersive experience.
- Lightweight Design: Weighs 82 grams, making it practical for prolonged usage while still providing a robust array of features.
In contrasting its capabilities, the Xreal 1S can anchor floating screens in the wearer’s vision that remain stable regardless of head movement, while offering an immersive ultra-large cinema screen option for entertainment. The side view feature also allows users to multitask seamlessly by positioning smaller screens within their peripheral vision, enabling a productive environment alongside real-world interactions.
Additionally, Xreal unveiled the Neo power hub, designed to extend battery life and enhance video performance. With a 10,000 mAh capacity, it acts as a DisplayPort video hub that supports 30-watt input and 20-watt output, scaling up to 45 watts when connected to a wall charger. This versatility opens the door for connecting devices like the Nintendo Switch and Steam Deck, delivering up to 1200p resolution for an optimized gaming experience.
Chi Xu, co-founder and CEO of Xreal, remarked, “The Xreal 1S and Neo redefine the standards of portability and performance in the AR industry, while also making our technology more affordable.”
Now available, the Xreal 1S and Neo mark a significant stride in making advanced AR experiences more mainstream for tech enthusiasts and casual users alike.
