The U.S. Government Implements 25% Tariff on Nvidia H200 AI Chips Destined for China

The new tariffs apply solely to semiconductors manufactured outside the United States that transit through the country before reaching international markets. This also affects chips from other manufacturers, including AMD’s MI325X. Despite the tariffs, Nvidia has responded positively, noting the ongoing demand for these advanced semiconductors and indicating plans to increase production in response to burgeoning orders from Chinese enterprises.
