ServiceNow Expands AI Capabilities Through New Partnership with Anthropic
In a strategic move to enhance its AI-driven offerings, ServiceNow has announced a multi-year collaboration with Anthropic, a leading player in artificial intelligence research. This partnership comes just a week after ServiceNow unveiled a similar agreement with OpenAI, underscoring its commitment to diversifying its AI model partnerships.
The new alliance will primarily focus on integrating Anthropic’s Claude family of AI models into ServiceNow’s platform, enabling customers to benefit from advanced AI capabilities in enterprise workflow solutions. Additionally, Claude will serve as the default AI model for the ServiceNow Build Agent, a tool designed to help developers create intelligent workflows and applications.
While ServiceNow has not disclosed the financial details or exact duration of the agreement, the collaboration includes the deployment of Claude to the company’s workforce of 29,000 employees. This will also provide engineers access to Anthropic’s Claude Code, a unique coding product aimed at optimizing the development process.
“As we partner with Anthropic, we are transforming intelligence into actionable workflows for global enterprises,” stated Bill McDermott, Chairman and CEO of ServiceNow. “This collaboration reinforces our belief that integrated platforms coupled with an open ecosystem are foundational to building the future.”
This partnership comes on the heels of ServiceNow’s engagement with OpenAI, further emphasizing its multi-model strategy. Amit Zavery, ServiceNow’s President, COO, and CPO, remarked, “Enterprise customers seek model diversity to ensure the right AI solution for their specific needs, while maintaining governance and security across the ServiceNow AI platform. Our role is to expertly combine these models for optimal customer outcomes.”
The collaboration with Anthropic is part of a broader trend in the AI sector, where the company has recently secured significant deals with notable firms, including Allianz, Accenture, IBM, Deloitte, and Snowflake.
As organizations navigate the complexities of AI investment, experts predict that tangible returns will become evident by 2026, marking a pivotal shift in enterprise AI dynamics.
