Grammarly Transforms into 'Superhuman' with New AI Assistant Launch

Grammarly Rebrands as ‘Superhuman’ Following Acquisition and Launches New AI Assistant

In a strategic shift, Grammarly has rebranded itself as “Superhuman” after acquiring the email client Superhuman in July. This unusual move sets it apart from typical mergers where the acquired brand is absorbed. While Grammarly’s product name remains unchanged, there are plans to eventually rebrand other acquisitions, such as Coda, a productivity platform acquired last year.

Superhuman also introduced an AI assistant called Superhuman Go, now integrated into the Grammarly extension. This innovative assistant provides real-time writing suggestions, offers email feedback, and can connect with multiple applications, including Jira, Gmail, Google Drive, and Google Calendar. These integrations allow Superhuman Go to perform functions such as logging support tickets and checking user availability for meetings.

Additionally, Superhuman aims to enhance the assistant’s capabilities further by enabling it to retrieve information from CRMs and internal systems, streamlining email suggestions.

Key Points:

– Grammarly rebrands itself as “Superhuman” post-acquisition of Superhuman email client.
– New AI assistant, Superhuman Go, enhances the Grammarly extension with features like email feedback and app integrations.
– Plans for future AI improvements in the Coda document suite and Superhuman email client include automating details in drafts.

Currently, all Grammarly users can access Superhuman Go by toggling the feature within the extension. The company also offers product bundles: a Pro subscription priced at $12 per month (billed annually) includes grammar and tone support in various languages, while the Business plan is available for $33 per month (billed annually) and includes access to Superhuman Mail.
