ChatGPT Unveils Year-End Review Similar to Spotify Wrapped

ChatGPT Introduces “Your Year with ChatGPT,” a Personalized Year-End Review Feature

OpenAI’s ChatGPT is launching a new feature known as “Your Year with ChatGPT,” designed to mirror the popular Spotify Wrapped experience. This annual summary will be available to eligible users in specific regions, including the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, and New Zealand.

Notably, team, enterprise, or education accounts will not have access to this feature. According to OpenAI, the experience aims to be “lightweight, privacy-forward, and user-controlled,” ensuring users retain control over their data.

“Your Year with ChatGPT” offers a personalized look back at the past year, celebrating individual usage patterns through engaging graphics and customized awards. For example, users might earn the “Creative Debugger” title if they utilized the chatbot for problem-solving or exploring new concepts.

The feature also generates a unique poem and image summarizing key interests throughout the year, providing a creative reflection on user engagement.

While prominently showcased on the ChatGPT app’s home screen, the year-end recap will not automatically pop up for users but can be accessed on-demand. The feature is compatible with both the web app and mobile applications for iOS and Android, or users can simply request “Your Year with ChatGPT” directly through the chatbot.

This initiative reflects OpenAI’s commitment to enhancing user engagement by providing a fun and personalized retrospective experience.
