Anthropic has successfully raised $30 billion in its Series G funding round, propelling the company’s valuation to an impressive $380 billion, a significant increase from its prior Series F valuation of $183 billion, as revealed in a Thursday announcement.

This financing round was primarily led by Singapore’s sovereign wealth fund, GIC, along with investment management firm Coatue. Several other notable participants included D. E. Shaw Ventures, Peter Thiel’s Founders Fund, and Abu Dhabi’s MGX, among others. Additional substantial investors featured in the round include Accel, General Catalyst, Jane Street, and the Qatar Investment Authority.

The latest influx of capital arrives at a critical juncture for the AI startup, which is intensifying its competition with rival OpenAI. Recently, OpenAI has also expressed its ambition to seek an additional $100 billion in funding, a move that could elevate its market valuation to approximately $830 billion.

Krishna Rao, Anthropic’s chief financial officer, noted in a press release, “The demand for Claude is evident across entrepreneurs, startups, and large enterprises alike. This financing underlines the incredible need for our offerings, and we plan to leverage this investment to enhance the enterprise-grade products that our clients rely on.”
