Adobe Unveils AI-Driven Enhancements in Acrobat: Podcast Summaries and Prompt Editing Now Available

In a continued effort to integrate artificial intelligence across its suite of products, Adobe has introduced several innovative features to Acrobat, including the capability to generate podcast summaries and utilize prompt-driven editing. These upgrades aim to streamline user experience and enhance productivity.

With Adobe Spaces, launched last year, users can conveniently access and collaborate on a collection of files and notes. The latest enhancements allow for the creation of presentations directly from this stored information using simple text prompts. For example, a user can seamlessly compile financial analyses, product strategies, and competitive insights into an impactful pitch deck tailored for potential clients.

Acrobat’s AI assistant facilitates the initial creation of editable presentations, generating key points that can be further customized with Adobe Express’s extensive theme library and image options. This feature aligns Acrobat with other platforms like Canva and NotebookLM that already support document-to-presentation functionality.

Another notable addition is the ability to generate a podcast summary for any file or Space. This feature enhances accessibility, allowing users to consume information audibly. Competing tools like Google’s NotebookLM, Speechify, and ElevenLabs’ Reader app also offer similar personalized podcast capabilities.

Additionally, Acrobat now supports editing through AI-driven prompts, enabling users to perform twelve specific actions such as removing text, replacing phrases, and inserting e-signatures or passwords. This marks a significant step towards a more intuitive editing experience.

While collaboration features in Spaces already allowed for file sharing, new updates bring AI-generated summaries that cite specific locations within documents, enriching the context for contributors who can add comments or modify content.

Users can customize their interaction by selecting from various assistant roles such as “analyst,” “entertainer,” or “instructor,” or even create a bespoke assistant tailored to specific needs.
