HumanTrue Clinches Award for Best User Experience in TransCelerate Protocol Review Challenge at SCOPE
HumanTrue, a pioneering clinical research technology firm, has been awarded the Best User Experience (UX) Design accolade in the TransCelerate Protocol Review Challenge held at the SCOPE Summit. This recognition underscores the company’s innovative Schedule of Activities interface and chat-enabled protocol review capabilities, which enhance the evaluation of protocol complexity and burdens using USDM-compliant structured data.
On January 28, 2026, HumanTrue revealed its accolade, attributing the achievement to its commitment to improving protocol understanding and execution. Judges praised the firm’s ability to streamline the assessment process, enabling clinical teams to identify feasibility, risk, and operational burdens earlier in clinical trials.
“Protocols embody the scientific intent of studies, and our goal is to facilitate a clear understanding among teams and systems for efficient execution,” said Joan Severson, co-founder and CEO of HumanTrue. CTO Bill Lynch added, “By employing structured protocols along with user-centric designs, we foster alignment that minimizes rework and accelerates clinical research processes.”
The challenge, a collaboration between ClinEco and TransCelerate BioPharma, aimed to promote digital, standards-based, and user-oriented methods for protocol review. HumanTrue was selected as one of the standout winners among a competitive cohort, evaluated by industry leaders from major organizations like Novartis and Eli Lilly.
The innovative solutions from the challenge will be showcased in a plenary session at the upcoming SCOPE Summit, where HumanTrue will receive formal recognition. For further insights, including a video of HumanTrue’s submission, visit their official webpage.
