CIE Automotive SA, a leader in the automotive component and assembly sector, has addressed the complexities of its enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems through a pivotal partnership with Celonis. As the company expanded its global manufacturing network, the need for a streamlined approach to integrate and manage vital business processes became essential to avoid operational confusion.
In a recent interview with theCUBE, Iker Hernández, Deputy Officer at CIE Automotive, elaborated on how Celonis facilitated the development of a centralized ERP network platform. This solution allows CIE to manage business data seamlessly while extracting critical insights.
“Given our decentralized structure with numerous ERP systems, both SAP-based and non-SAP, previously we struggled to centralize our information,” said Hernández. “Celonis enabled us to unify our data, allowing us to communicate effectively across divisions.”
By implementing Celonis’ innovative solution, CIE has successfully linked its operational and ERP systems under a single platform. This advancement empowers Hernández and CIE’s leadership to access essential data rapidly, regardless of location or database.
“Now, we have everything online,” Hernández noted. “Every process is monitored daily in Celonis, providing us a complete view of operations from various regions, such as China and Brazil, regardless of the ERP used.”
Additionally, this centralized system enhances the efficiency of data analysis, giving users the tools to focus on significant business priorities. Hernández emphasized the platform’s role in clarifying operational focus, stating, “Celonis has precisely highlighted where I need to direct my attention—identifying specific countries, plants, and suppliers through real-time, actionable data.”
This transformation not only simplifies CIE’s processes but also bolsters the company’s agility in decision-making, ensuring that it remains competitive in the fast-paced automotive industry.
