Meta is set to transform Instagram Stories by integrating its AI-driven photo and video editing features, enabling users to utilize text prompts for unique alterations. This innovative update allows for seamless modifications, from adding or removing elements to completely changing images, enhancing user experience significantly.

Previously, Instagram’s editing capabilities were restricted to interactions with the Meta AI chatbot. With this enhancement, users can now access text-based prompts that simplify the editing process during Story creation. Located within the “Restyle” menu accessible via the paintbrush icon, the new features allow users to request modifications by inputting commands such as “add,” “remove,” or “change.”
For instance, users can specify changes like altering hair color, adding accessories like crowns or sunglasses, or even changing backgrounds to picturesque sunsets. The platform also offers preset effects for further customization, such as adding a watercolor aesthetic or making it appear as if it’s snowing in videos.
